De'Arcey "Dee" Campbell
                                                          Old Dominion Boat Club Member
 
   De'Arcey "Dee" Campbell, once a member of the Old Dominion Boat Club, started his rowing career in 1946
   when a friend invited him down to the Old Dominion Boat Club to row with him.  Dee grew up in Old Town
   Alexandria, graduated from George Washington High School in 1944, served in the Navy for two years and returned to
   Alexandria.  He was on the Old Dominion Boat Club Rowing Team beginning in 1947 and later began his coaching
   career at Francis Hammond High School in 1959.  Following is an article written for the Alexandria Times by
   Carla Branch. The article is an overview of Dee's young years in Alexandria, his rowing and coaching career, and
